- Over 70% of all STIs notified were in those aged less than 30 years of age: 59% in the 20-29 year agegroup.
- Chlamydia is the most frequently notified STI, accounting for 48.4% of notifications in 2012.
- Notifications of Gonorrhoea continue to increase in 2012, up 33%.
